Quite Neighborhood a few minutes drive from downtown NOLA

The apartment was clean and the neighborhood is lovely, but this AirBnB isn't well equipped for long term stays, although that's all it accepts. I travel for work, so I want at least the basics of a hotel. Things lacking include laundry facilities (not even on the premises, and while it's my fault for missing that fact, I wouldn't have stayed here had I realized.) No dishwasher. No hood over the very old stove/oven so cooking was difficult. The freezer door would pop open every time I opened the fridge, and sometimes by itself. I'd return to find it open. The microwave struggled. I had to request they send over cleaning supplies, and what was sent 3 days later was minimal. There was no extra bedding, (although there were many towels.). I think other reasonable amenities in a longer term property might include a decent reading light, an alarm clock, a full-length mirror. This place would be fine for a weekend stay, but it was tough for a full month, and not inexpensive.

Great location to everything, we had a slight wifi problem while my wife was working from home and the issue was addressed and fixed within 40 minutes. Super responsive and a great 2 month stay. I would highly recommend staying here.

Raymond, his wife and their contractor are awesome! They were all very kind and helpful. We didn't have any issues during our stay. The home is nicer than the photos! Not that the photos make it look bad, but it really is a cute and comfortable place. My family and I were here for about a month and a half and we loved it. The home is furnished and equipped with just about everything you need beds, linens, pots, pans, dishes, washer/dryer, TVs, Wi-Fi, oh and air conditioner! Everything was clean, Raymond sent all the instructions prior to our arrival and answered any questions that I had. The neighborhood is nice; you can go for a walk or drive to nearby stores/restaurants. If you are visiting for the New Orleans scene, it is about a 15-minute drive from the house.
We loved staying here, I would stay here again, and I would recommend this home to my family and friends.

Spent April and May of 2025 here. A wonderful, modern, upper floor unit. Central air is priceless. Newly remodeled with a nice kitchen and bath. A few furnishings needed for long term QoL (mirrors, hooks, upgrade primary room bed frame), but I imagine those will get added with time.

And I have not even mentioned how nice and walkable the area is....I could go on and on. The list of pros is LONG in this fantastic apartment.

So let's do the cons 🙂

TRAIN HORN. Really the only unavoidable con. If you're a light sleeper (ME), then even with earplugs it might wake you at 3am. Also, some of the neighborhood dogs are a bit barky at night and early AM, but that's a bit less annoying.

AND...that's it. Really near perfect place to stay. Book it if you have the chance.

My nephew and his college roommate stayed at Ray’s apartment in Uptown Audubon while studying abroad from Spain during the spring semester. They had a fantastic experience. The apartment is a gem: clean, comfortable, and equipped with modern appliances. The coin-operated laundry was convenient. The neighborhood is one of the best parts: safe, quiet, and super walkable, with easy access to Tulane and all the charm of Uptown New Orleans. When we ran into a plumbing issue, Ray responded immediately and had it resolved. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a solid, well-located stay in New Orleans.

This was a great place to stay. I always found close parking. It was easy to walk to Audubon Park, St. Charles St., Magazine St, and many off the beaten track restaurants and shops. Neighbors were friendly and quiet. My cats loved watching out the windows. The nearest laundromat was quiet, clean and very comfortable to read. The price was a deal compared to other places.

I had a worry-free stay in a great neighborhood!

The house is clean, nicely equipped, and situated in New Orleans's center. I enjoyed my stay at Audubon's house very much. I had everything I need, and I could easily concentrate on my work, and could go to various attractions in the downtown within 30 minutes on the tram. I would love to return to this place, to enjoy walking to the park, discussing with people at Tulane university, and exploring many different aspects of life in New Orleans. Ray has been very helpful and friendly, I cannot imagine a better place for my one month visit.

I stayed for 2 months and it was a nice one for the most part. A couple of things happened. The door lock died on me and I was almost locked out but they came out and fixed it ASAP. One of the lights in the kitchen stopped working and one of the eyes on the stove is a little messed up (definitely needs to be replaced) . The host also claimed that my dog peed on the carpet but this was a lie or a mistake. I would say it is a good place to stay for long and short term but if you have a dog beware that the host may try to finesse you out of $150 like she tried to do with me.

The kitchen was stocked with all the basics we needed for cooking and we appreciated having a grill on the shared patio to use. We enjoyed being in a quiet neighborhood but still being a short drive or ferry ride away from the city. One of our favorite activities was taking walks along the river with a great view of the city. Raymond was very helpful and quickly responded whenever we needed anything. Definitely recommend staying here!

Clean, comfortable and conveniently located Ray's apartment is ideal for an extended stay in the area. The outdoor patio is a bonus.
